Spa Industry Mauritus

There is certainly plenty to do in Mauritius, provided you have got the time, the will and availability. My philosophy is to believe that everything is possible. I particularly appreciate natural resorts, the landscape, the majestic lush settings of Chamarel and Tamarin being a favourite for hiking. But nothing can really be better than diving in the ocean, plunging into the rich waters of the fantastic sites off the west coast. This is the hobby for me, so relaxing and wonderful. And Mauritius is heaven for diving. I have already spent two years and a half in the hotel trade, working for the Taj before joining Naïade.

Mauritians I meet both at work and outside the hotel are helpful, smart and smiling people. It is a good time to be here: I am myself open-hearted and lively. It is so beautiful to see so many different religions coexist in harmony in such a little place.

For our employees, the spa industry is a truly good environment to work in. We train and develop all the time in this sector as you have to be aware of all the new trends in the world. As professionals, we enjoy integrating these new techniques with local products and cultures. For example, we have created a new therapy which we call the Mauritian massage, using bamboo sticks rolled over the body, along with sega music and sega movements. It is not only relaxing but fantastic to watch.
And spas are set in a more and more beautiful environment. The guest is treated as royalty. To be a good therapist is within everyone’s reach: a good training combined with love for what you do and doing it from the heart. The aim is ultimately to improve the quality of life.
